November 2025 Issue

The holiday season is nearly upon us, and due to recent government funding cuts and increasing costs for food, more and more families in central and west Oklahoma are having a hard time putting enough food on the table.
Many are families with limited incomes. Some are people who can’t find steady work and are on the verge of homelessness. Montrelle’s family, whose story you can read on Page 3, is among them. Their family is facing enormous challenges, but they are a perfect example of what your support helps make possible.
But we must do more, especially now, and I hope you’ll join me. Thanks to a $350,000 matching gift from APMEX and the Cresap Family Foundation, your gift goes twice as far. Every $1 now helps provide 6 meals.
This holiday season, your support will mean so much more to Oklahomans as they gather around dinner tables to enjoy their own holiday meal. You’ll remind them that in this special season of giving, ours is a community that cares.
Thank you for all you do.
Gratefully,
Stacy Dykstra, Ph.D.
