How We Work

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma strives to make the most out of every donation. For every one dollar donated, 96 cents goes toward programming, food purchases and providing food assistance. But have you ever wondered how your donations help put meals on the table for Oklahomans living with food insecurity?

A large portion of the Regional Food Bank’s food inventory is donated by national food wholesalers and local retailers, food drives and retail food recovery. In 2020, the Regional Food Bank purchased 11% of its food inventory.

Food donations are sorted and packed at the Regional Food Bank and distributed to our network of partners in 53 counties in central and western Oklahoma. The Regional Food Bank also works to connect its community-based partners with nearby food retailers to pick-up surplus food donations.

Our Partners

The Regional Food Bank’s fleet of trucks delivers food to its network of more than 1,300 community-based partners across central and western Oklahoma, traveling more than 480,000 miles a year.

Who We Serve

The majority of people served by the Regional Food Bank are chronically hungry children, seniors living on fixed incomes and hardworking families struggling to make ends meet.
