The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma hopes to educate Oklahomans on the current state of hunger and give residents the necessary tools and information to empower them to become anti-hunger advocates for their community.
Learn & Serve Workshops

These workshops are designed to educate volunteers and anyone who wants to learn more about the Regional Food Bank, the state of hunger in Oklahoma and how to become an anti-hunger advocate. After the workshop you will go on a brief tour ending with a volunteer shift in our Volunteer Center.
Zero Hunger Academy

Zero Hunger Academy is a self-paced course, produced by the Congressional Hunger Center in collaboration with the Regional Food Bank, where individuals can learn more about the Regional Food Bank, food security, hunger and poverty. The Zero Hunger Academy is a great learning tool for anyone who wants to learn more about the state of hunger and how they can become an anti-hunger advocate.

An Oklahoma Where No One Goes Hungry
The Regional Food Bank has been a leader in the fight against hunger in Oklahoma for more than 45 years. Over that time our work has expanded to 53 counties across central and western Oklahoma. Each day you can find trucks bearing our logo delivering food, and hope, from Durant to Guymon and Perry to Mangum.
“Because They Are Worth It” – The Healthy Pantry Certification Program
Launched in February 2020, the Healthy Pantry Certification Program is a certification initiative aimed at strengthening food pantries that use the shopper choice model. It enhances network knowledge of nutrition and the impact of healthy and unhealthy foods on those facing food insecurity. The program supports partners in crafting nutrition policies, expanding access to fresh produce, and fostering environments that promote nutritious choices and healthy lifestyles.
Creating Access to Healthy Food
The Orderable Produce Program started as a way to utilize donations of assorted produce to reduce spoilage and give greater access to produce across the Regional Food Bank’s service area. The program was piloted with a select group of partners and starting in March 2023 was offered to all Food for Communities partners and several Food for Health partners with no order restrictions.
Stamp Out Hunger 2024 Delivers Thousands of Meals to Oklahomans
Each year, letter carriers across the country head out on their routes on the second Saturday in May to collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries. Since launching in 1993, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive, helping to fill the shelves of food banks in cities and towns throughout the United States. In 2024 the Regional Bank in Partnership with the NALC was able to collect more than 612,000 pounds of food the equivalent to more than 51,000 meals.
Helping Not Just One, But Many
The Regional Food Bank’s partnership with Urban League of Greater Oklahoma City is helping provide meals to hundreds of metro children. These types of community partnerships help the Regional Food Bank reach 53 counties across central and western Oklahoma.
Food Connections – The Regional Food Bank’s Senior Pantries
In response to the restrictions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Regional Food Bank began looking for safe alternative ways to serve the senior living sites that received food through the Senior Mobile Markets Collaborating with the Oklahoma City Housing Authority, a plan was developed to create on-site pantries. The pantries offer residents guest-choice shopping and access to pantry staples, fresh produce and dairy and Senior Servings meals prepared by Hope’s Kitchen.
Regional Food Bank’s Food for Kids Programs Make an Impact
The Regional Food Bank has several programs housed in our Food for Kids Program including The Backpack Program, The School Pantry Program, Kids Café, Summer Feeding and the Youth Pantry Program. These programs are designed to help combat the growing population of children experiencing food insecurity.
