November 2024 Issue

As you read the stories in this newsletter, you might note a common theme: families are trying to pay their bills, keep up with high costs and still put enough food on their tables.
That’s particularly true for those on limited incomes and people who simply can’t find steady work even though they’re doing all they can for their families.
That’s what Leslea’s family was facing when she told us, “My husband is in construction but hasn’t been able to get a job.” I hope you’ll read her story on the next page. She’s the perfect example of what your support helps make possible.
We must do more. So I hope you’ll join me in this effort. Especially now, because thanks to a $350,000 matching gift from APMEX and the Cresap Family Foundation, your gift goes twice as far. Every $1 now helps provide 6 meals!
When friends and neighbors gather around their dinner tables this holiday season to give thanks, it is so much more than a meal. It’s a reminder that we’re all part of a caring community.
Thank you for all you do.
Gratefully,
Stacy Dykstra, Ph.D.
