Skill-based Volunteer Opportunities

Are you interested in volunteering in a long-term role? A skill-based volunteer opportunity might be the right fit for you.

Skill-based volunteers are individuals over the age of 18 who would like to donate time regularly to a specific area or project of the Regional Food Bank.

We do not accept court-mandated community service volunteers for these volunteer roles.

Interview
If your application is approved, we will call you to schedule a phone interview.

Background check
All skill-based volunteers must be able to pass a background check with a clear record.

Orientation and training
After all steps are complete, we will schedule your first shift for orientation and training.

Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma Building Front Side

Volunteer Receptionist

This fun position will assist individuals who call in and visitors to the facility. The skill-based volunteer will provide information regarding the organization and partners to the general public and to the neighbors we serve as well as route questions appropriately.

The skill-based volunteer will be scheduled on an as-needed basis. In addition, this role will be added to an on-call pool of skill-based volunteers who can be activated for unscheduled and last-minute opportunities.

Excellent customer service is a must.
