Service Insights

What is Service Insights?

Service Insights is a nationwide intake initiative led by Feeding America and partner food banks to better understand the needs, experiences and services of the neighbors we serve across our distribution network.

By using a consistent set of intake questions and electronically managing TEFAP program requirements, Service Insights helps identify factors contributing to food insecurity. This ensures our programs remain focused on meeting real, community‑driven needs.

The initiative is supported by a secure, user‑friendly, web‑based intake platform that allows pantry partners to record services provided. All data is protected and used solely to measure impact and improve how we support our neighbors.

Over time, these shared insights will guide the Regional Food Bank’s strategies to reduce food insecurity across our region. We are deeply grateful to our pantry partners as this work would not be possible without your collaboration.

Are you using Link2Feed?

Thank you for being a valued partner in this initiative. Your dedication and hard work are helping us better understand the unique needs of each community across our region.

Feeding America has introduced Service Insights, a new and improved online intake platform designed to support our shared mission. Service Insights offers the same core capabilities as Link2Feed, while expanding future capabilities.

Additionally, there are new features on the way, including offline access, Spanish language options and more robust reporting tools including interactive dashboards.

The Regional Food Bank will support partners currently using Link2Feed to make the transition to Service Insights.

Ready to Start Service Insights?

If you are a current Regional Food Bank pantry partner, please begin by completing the form below to start creating your Service Insights pantry account.

Once your account request is submitted, be sure to sign up for a training session to get started with the platform. After registering, you will receive either a Zoom link or RSVP for in-person training.

We are committed to supporting your participation in Service Insights by offering resources and guidance to assist with onboarding, training and troubleshooting on the platform. If you can’t find the resources you need below, contact serviceinsights@rfbo.org.

Training sessions will be offered Monday through Thursday each week during the months of June, July and August 2026.

Our team hosts informal Office Hours from 10-11 a.m. on the first and third Friday of each month, beginning in June. These sessions provide pantry partners with a dedicated space to ask questions, discuss challenges with Service Insights and learn from one another.  There is no set agenda.

After registering, you will receive a Zoom link for that month's session. Joining from a tablet or computer (rather than a phone) is recommended.

How will you benefit from participating in Service Insights?

  • Reduce or eliminate paper intake forms.
  • TEFAP compliance is built into the system.
  • TEFAP Certification is shared across a household rather than by each pantry.
  • No cost to use the system.
  • As you learn more about your neighbors’ preferences, you can order more appropriate food.
  • Easy reports and analysis for grants, board members, food bank reporting or general information requests.
  • Our staff will provide training and support!
