Donna, 64, lives with her son and two grandsons. Money has been tight since they lost their extra pandemic-era SNAP benefits. Their household only receives $23 every month to support the whole family. Donna is retired and recently began receiving Social Security income, which helps, but with two growing boys, it’s not nearly enough.

So Donna and her grandsons visit the Skyline Food & Resource Center, a partner of the Regional Food Bank. “These boys are always hungry,” she says. “We especially love the fruits and veggies we get here, which are so difficult to afford at the store.”

She’s able to cook and can fresh foods, which really helps stretch what they receive. “Grocery prices are outrageous, so we appreciate this help so much. We only come once a month, and only if we really need it. I’m so thankful for this. There was a time when we didn’t eat meat for months because we just couldn’t afford it,” Donna says.

“Thank you. Just thank you so much.”

Because of friends like you, families like Donna’s can find help when they need it most. Thank you!
