The average family is just a paycheck or two away from hunger, and Stephanie’s family was no exception.

They only recently fell on hard times. Stephanie has a good job at a local school, but her husband was recently laid off. Although he found another job quickly, the gap in paychecks between jobs left them without enough to make ends meet.

With four kids ages 8, 12, 15 and 17, Stephanie has a lot of plates to fill every day. Thankfully, she was able to visit the Skyline Food & Resource Center for help in filling those plates.

“This makes a tremendous difference,” Stephanie says. “Between this help and our food stamps, we’ll get through, so this is just such a blessing.”

The summer months are especially hard for families who are going through hardships. School breakfasts and lunches aren’t available during that break from school, so families have to find a way to provide more meals. Food pantries like the Skyline Food & Resource Center are there to help, thanks to you.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Stephanie says. “Everything people do really helps. Some people wouldn’t have anything without this. Keep up the good work. You’re angels; you really are.”

Stephanie is grateful for the help you’ve given, and we are too!
