Jan. 17, 2025 – Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma audiences contributed $36,240 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma during its annual production of “A Christmas Carol,” presented by Devon Energy.

Since 2011, the Lyric Theatre has collected donations for the Regional Food Bank following each production of “A Christmas Carol.” Over that time, audiences have donated $285,766 to help fight hunger in Oklahoma. This is the second year in a row the donation has topped the $30,000 mark.

“Each year we are grateful for Lyric Theatre and its audiences for their extreme generosity during the holiday season,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “This is such a unique way for one nonprofit to collectively help another for the benefit of the community.”

The production ran during November and December at the Lyric Theatre in the Plaza District.
