April 1, 2024 – The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is seeking young professionals, aged 24 to 40, to apply for Leadership Class X. Applications are due May 13.

Each year, a cohort of young professionals are selected for the nine-month Leadership Class where they learn about hunger in Oklahoma and the work of the Regional Food Bank.

“Leadership Class is the perfect opportunity to learn and connect, and I am extremely thankful for the impact our past young professionals have made in our community,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank.

The group is involved year-round, participating in fundraisers, social gatherings as well as special volunteer opportunities and networking events. Members also participate in virtual educational and informational programs designed to appeal to Oklahoma’s active young professionals.

“I’ve learned that the fight to end food insecurity is not one that is won alone. It takes people who truly care and who never give up on the vision,” said Isaac Alvarado, with Tinker Air Force Base and Leadership Class IX member. “Above all I’ve learned that we can succeed together.”
