Since the beginning, the relationship between Schraad Sales & Marketing and the Regional Food Bank has been guided by a shared purpose of providing food assistance.

What started with team volunteer days has evolved into a multifaceted partnership that includes charitable donations, service initiatives and food contributions.

“As a regional grocery broker headquartered in Oklahoma City, our connection with the Regional Food Bank was a natural fit. Our industry revolves around food, and we take great pride in helping to combat food insecurity in the communities where we live and work,” says Lauren Schraad, director of marketing.

“We specialize in connecting food brands with retailers and consumers, so supporting an organization dedicated to fighting hunger was a seamless alignment with our core values,” she continues. “We knew that our industry expertise, relationships and resources could contribute meaningfully to their mission.”

Over the years, Schraad’s generosity has included donations of surplus food from their manufacturer clients and a check presentation every December. Employees also join in an annual volunteer day, where they make a difference working in Hope’s Kitchen or packing and sorting food in the Volunteer Center.

“Giving back is a fundamental part of our company culture, and we actively encourage our team to participate in our annual service day each April,” Lauren says. “This tradition not only reinforces our company’s dedication to community service but also strengthens our core value of teamwork.”

Their efforts have grown year after year, with Schraad’s previous service day welcoming more than 30 team members. This year’s annual volunteer day promises to be even bigger as they continue their tradition of teamwork and giving back.

“We’re excited to continue our partnership with the Regional Food Bank and look forward to making an even greater impact this year,” Lauren says. “Our team remains committed to finding new ways to support the Regional Food Bank’s initiatives and ensuring that more families in our community have access to the food and resources they need.”

Thank you, Schraad Sales & Marketing, for your continued commitment. Together, we’re building stronger communities, one meal at a time.
