April 6, 2022 – The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s inaugural OKC Restaurant Week raised nearly $80,000 to help provide food for Oklahomans living with hunger. The week-long event featured 45 locally operated restaurants donating a portion of sales to fight hunger in Oklahoma.
“We are so thankful for our partners across the metro restaurant scene. From the planning stages to launch, our restaurant partners poured their passion into giving back to their community,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “That commitment will not only help us provide meals but also offers hope to our neighbors in need of food assistance.”
OKC Restaurant Week, which ran March 1 through 6, featured a wide variety of restaurants and cuisines. Each restaurant chose how to participate with several offering prix fixe menus and others donating proceeds from specialty menu items.
OKC Restaurant Week was made possible thanks to Love’s Travel Stops, Dell Technologies and other generous sponsors.
“We are so pleased with the tremendous impact of this year’s event and are excited to announce that OKC Restaurant Week will be back in 2023,” Dykstra said. “We can’t wait to celebrate our talented and vibrant restaurant scene once again.”
