Oct. 4, 2021 – Morgan Stanley’s Move for Meals Campaign provided a $33,684 grant to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. During the campaign, Morgan Stanley employees took over 690 million steps to help raise funds and awareness for hunger.

Through the campaign, grants were awarded to Feeding America network food banks in states with high percentages of the population living with food insecurity. Oklahoma is the fifth hungriest state in the nation.

“Morgan Stanley continues to prove itself as a leader in the fight against hunger not just in Oklahoma, but nationwide,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “This grant comes at a crucial time in the fight against hunger in Oklahoma.”

The grant funds, which were awarded earlier this year, helped support the Regional Food Bank as the organization worked to increase the number of meals distributed across its 53-county service area. Funds helped the Regional Food Bank increase protein and produce distribution, increase the impact of its Kids Café and Summer Feeding programs and increase SNAP enrollment outreach.

“Morgan Stanley is dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we live and work and fighting food insecurity is a crucial part of that commitment,” said Joan Steinberg, global head of philanthropy at Morgan Stanley.

Since 2007, Morgan Stanley has supported the Regional Food Bank’s work to fight hunger in Oklahoma. Most recently, the company awarded a $50,000 grant to help address childhood hunger in diverse communities.
