March 2026 Partners in the Spotlight
Featured Partner: From Fire to Fresh Start – House of Prayer Food Pantry

In March 2025, House of Prayer Food Pantry in Blackwell experienced a devastating fire that destroyed their building. What it did not destroy was their commitment to serve.
Without missing a month of distribution, the pantry continued providing much-needed food to their community. They worked tirelessly, operating out of two different temporary locations while considering their next steps.
Historically, House of Prayer Food Pantry has operated very independently and had a hard time asking the community to help. During this process, director Nellie Jack stepped outside of her comfort zone to seek support from other churches to demolish the charred remains of the old building and to break ground on the new one.
As of December 2025, the House of Prayer Food Pantry is fully operating out of their new space and are a powerful testament to perseverance, faith and community partnership.
It was a privilege to support them through compliance at both temporary sites and to witness firsthand a distribution in the new building. Seeing how far they’ve come has been nothing short of inspiring.
Featured Partner: How Your Support Changes Lives Beyond the Pantry
Every day, partners like you help make food assistance possible for neighbors who are facing more than an empty pantry. For many, the impact goes far deeper, touching emotional well‑being and connection to the community.
Recently, the team at Temple Area Food Pantry received a powerful message from a caregiver that beautifully illustrates how support transforms lives:
“I am a caregiver for a 44‑year‑old disabled friend. I have been visiting he Temple food pantry for two years to help him with his limited finances. He was using his entire monthly check every month for his bills and food. Financial emergencies that popped up overwhelmed him. Because of the food pantry, he can now afford to leave his home occasionally and actually interact with the world, which has had a positive impact on his emotional health.”
This caregiver’s message reminds us that food assistance is not just about groceries, it’s about dignity and renewed hope. When essential needs are met, people can focus on connection and the parts of life that make them feel human again.
Because of your partnership, stories like this are possible. Thank you for helping create moments of relief and restored confidence for the people we serve.
Voices from the Field – Link2Feed Testimonials
“We first heard about Link2Feed through Jamie, our pantry director, and we were drawn to it because we knew it would make our process more efficient and reduce errors.
Before implementing it, we connected with Loaves and Fishes of Northwest Oklahoma in Enid, who had been using the system for years, and seeing it in action gave us confidence. With my computer background, I found Link2Feed simple and well‑designed from the start.
It has streamlined our unique drive‑through intake process, allowing us to serve about 220 people each week in just two hours. Our volunteers have been impressed with the data insights we can now share, and one of the most helpful features is not having to re-enter information for clients already in the system.
The support during implementation was excellent, and overall, Link2Feed has helped us be far more accurate in our reporting. Our director often says it has saved her countless hours on the Annual Partner Survey, what once took many hours is now quick and easy. We truly feel we’ve gotten our intake system and Link2Feed down to a science.”
