A participant in the Regional Food Bank's Summer Feeding Program poses for a photo

Denisse is one of five children of a single mom who sometimes struggles to feed her family.

Denisse doesn’t like it when that happens.

“When I’m hungry,” she says, “it makes me very cranky.”

Fortunately, she gets a couple meals a day at the Boys & Girls Club, a part of the Sequoyah Learning and Wellness Academy in Oklahoma City.

The Club is an after-school program during the academic year, and an all-day program in the summer. Kids who participate get up to two meals per day as part of a partnership with the Regional Food Bank.

Thanks to your support, the kids pictured on this page are among many children who get regular meals at the Boys & Girls Club.
