Grace recently moved to Oklahoma, and it’s been a difficult adjustment for her. She briefly experienced homelessness, which is never easy, but she also has to contend with serious health problems. She had open-heart surgery two years ago and is still recovering. She also struggles with lupus and diabetes, which means that she needs to be especially mindful of her diet. “It’s been rough. This is my first time here,” Grace says of Skyline Food & Resource Center.

“This is going to help a lot,” she continues. “Food stamps just don’t do enough these days, and groceries cost so much.

“This help is amazing. It really is. These guys are angels.”

Grace knows how important it is to give back to her community, too. “It’s amazing. I used to donate, and now here I am having to get help. It means so much to me and to the community to have this available. A lot of people would go hungry, especially children and elderly people.”

Thanks to your support, Grace is able to keep food on the table so she can heal and stay strong to fight her illnesses. She’s very grateful for the help she receives. “It’s so hard to stretch food to cover what you need,” she says. “This just means so much.”

Neighbors old and new who are facing food insecurity are able to keep going because of your help. Thank you!
