March 2021 Newsletter Story 1

When COVID-19 arrived a year ago, it wasn’t long before we realized there would be a lot more children, families and seniors facing hunger than ever. But thanks to your support, the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma rose to the challenge, finding new and creative ways to get food to people in need.

These short stories show how you helped make a difference:

A Godsend

“I don’t know what I would do without this,” said Barbara after picking up a box of food at the Food & Resource Center in Moore. Several surgeries have made walking and standing difficult for Barbara, so she especially appreciates receiving prepared meals. “You guys are a godsend.”

Like Christmas

One young student in Kiowa County cried tears of joy when she received a backpack filled with food and supplies from the Regional Food Bank. “We don’t have any food at home,” she said. “This is like Christmas for us!”

Worried Dad

In Stephens County, one student in the Backpack Program said, “My brother and I are so glad we get our food because my dad says he doesn’t have to worry as much.”

Your support gets food where it’s needed most. Please give again if you can. Thank you!
