Students Against Hunger
Join us for the ninth annual Students Against Hunger Food and Fund Drive, which benefits the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and its partner agencies. Every dollar donated will provide five meals to feed hungry Oklahomans this winter. Our goal for 2013 is to raise enough food and funds between September 23 and November 8 provide at least 600,000 meals for the hungry. The only way we will reach that goal is with the help of your school and your students!
The food and funds you collect will stay in your city and arrive just in time for the holidays. This food drive is an opportunity for students to positively impact the lives of people in their own community. All of the donations collected by your school will benefit our partner agencies.
Middle, elementary and high schools that collect the most pounds per student will receive awards and media recognition in honor of their accomplishment. Last year, Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School raised 45,160 pounds of food and $5,000.
The Students Against Hunger Food and Fund Drive is presented by the Oklahoma County Bar Association – Young Lawyers Division, Devon Energy Corporation and Chesapeake Energy Corporation.
