September 2025

I’m excited to introduce our new newsletter — a space designed to keep us connected, informed and inspired. Through each edition, we’ll share updates from across the Regional Food Bank: new initiatives, policy changes, advocacy opportunities, compliance reminders, upcoming events and partner spotlights.
As we step into fall, I want to thank each of you for your continued dedication. Your work is the heartbeat of our mission, and this newsletter is one more way we celebrate and strengthen the incredible community impact we’ve built together.

Your Voices Makes a Difference
- We’ve heard your feedback regarding the large-sized carrots and we appreciate you sharing your experience. As opportunities allow, we will prioritize sourcing regular-sized carrots to better meet your needs. Larger carrots are more cost-effective than smaller ones which helps us stretch our sourcing budget while continuing to offer fresh produce at no cost to our partners. That said, we remain committed to balancing cost-efficiency with quality and usability, and your input plays a vital role in guiding these decisions.
- Based on your questions and concerns, we are developing additional documents pertaining to all things deliveries: updating delivery guidelines, host site expectations, drop site expectations and direct delivery policy. Our aim with these will be to clarify responsibilities and manage expectations across all parties. We hope to move forward with these in spring 2026.
