(Edmond, Okla.) – Nov. 16, 2017 - The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is once again teaming up with S&B’s Burger Joints to fight hunger in Oklahoma, one meal at a time. On Monday, Nov. 20, proceeds from the opening of the new S&B’s Burger Joints, located at 840 W. Danforth Rd. in Edmond, will benefit the Regional Food Bank.
For a $10 cash donation, guests can enjoy a complimentary fountain drink or tea and select one appetizer or smothered fries per table and one entrée and side per person. Entrees options include a full-size burger or slider/sandwich, chicken tender basket, smothered fries, pizza slider or a full-size salad. The location will be open for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 6 to 9 p.m.
"Paying it forward and supporting our communities is a key core value for S&B’s. We are honored to be able to partner with the Regional Food Bank," said Shannon Roper, co-owner of S&B’s Burger Joints. "Working with all our guests, we will raise a lot of money to help our fellow Oklahomans who are living with hunger."
Oklahoma remains one of the hungriest states in the nation with one in six residents having inconsistent access to healthy food. The majority of Oklahomans served by the Regional Food Bank are chronically hungry children, seniors living on limited incomes and hardworking families struggling to make ends meet.
“S&B’s Burger Joints is a valued partner in the fight against hunger in Oklahoma,” said Katie Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “We thank them for their continued support and invite the community to join us in fighting hunger while supporting this local business.”
