Regional Food Bank Welcomes Three New Board Members


(Oklahoma City) – Oct 17, 2017 – The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is pleased to announce three new board members and new officers. 

“The Regional Food Bank is fortunate to have such exceptional volunteer leadership on our boards,” said Katie Fitzgerald, chief executive office of the Regional Food Bank. “I want to extend my gratitude to the current board members and to those who have served in the past. Together, we are fighting hunger, feeding hope in central and western Oklahoma.”

The three new board members are:

Brandon Long, attorney/shareholder with McAfee & Taft. Long serves on the executive committee of the Oklahoma City University School of Law and is board president for the Royals Excellence in Education Foundation. He is a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma as well as Leadership Oklahoma City’s LOYAL program.

Dave Lopez, vice president of operations for Lopez Foods manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City. A member of the Downtown Rotary Club, Lopez is also the co-chair of the 2017 Red Shoe Gala that benefits the Ronald McDonald House of Oklahoma City. He is a past board member of the Latino Community Development Agency.

Mary Blankenship Pointer, senior vice president with Republic Bank and Trust. Pointer is an active volunteer with a wide variety of nonprofit organizations. She most recently served as the chief financial officer for the Council of International Neonatal Nurses. Pointer is the 2017 chair of the YWCA of Oklahoma City’s Purple Sash event. She is also a graduate of both Leadership Oklahoma and Leadership Oklahoma City.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Brandon, Dave and Mary,” said Marian Moon, chair of the FoodLink board. “I know they all share a passion to help the Regional Food Bank fight hunger in Oklahoma. We look forward to their involvement and sharing their expertise.”
