(OKLAHOMA CITY) — Dec. 5, 2017 – Seven Panda Express restaurants in the metro area are once again joining the fight against hunger on Dec. 12. Each location will donate 20 percent of sales to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma as part of a monthly give-back day that occurs every second Tuesday of the month. Customers must present a “Family Day Flyer,” found at regionalfoodbank.org/panda, in order to participate in the giveback day.
“We are so grateful to Panda Express for their continued partnership with the Regional Food Bank,” said Katie Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “This is a great way to give back and enjoy a delicious meal.”

Oklahoma remains one of the hungriest states in the nation with one in six residents living with inconsistent access to healthy food. The majority of people served by the Regional Food Bank are chronically hungry children, hardworking families struggling to make ends meet and seniors living on limited incomes.
Hunger never takes a holiday. Thanks to a generous matching challenge from APMEX.com, the Cresap Family Foundation and Chesapeake Energy Corporation every donation received through Jan. 15 will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $600,000, for a total impact of $1.2 million. To make a donation call 405-600-3136 or visit regionalfoodbank.org. After the match is met, every $1 donated will provide five meals for Oklahomans living with hunger.
