Okie Express Helps Hungry Oklahomans

Metro-Area Locations Raise Donations for Regional Food Bank

(OKLAHOMA CITY) – Jan. 11, 2018 – Over the past three years, Oklahoma City metro based Okie Express Auto Wash and its customers have donated $131,600 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help the one in six Oklahomans with inconsistent access to healthy food.

“We believe in giving back to the community where we do business,” said Mike North, chief executive officer of Okie Express Auto Wash. “The thought of anyone going hungry in our state is just unacceptable. We know that 96 cents out of every dollar we donate to the Regional Food Bank will be used to feed those who might not have food otherwise.”

Year round, Okie Express customers have the opportunity to make a $1 donation to the Regional Food Bank when they purchase their car wash.

“We are so appreciative of this partnership with Okie Express Auto Wash in the fight against hunger,” said Katie Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank.  “Thanks to their support, 658,000 meals have been provided chronically hungry children, seniors on limited incomes, and hardworking families in central and western Oklahoma.”
