(OKLAHOMA CITY) - June 20, 2017 – On June 10, Express Employment Professionals shared the results of their annual Brand It Blue Day, which benefited the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. In total, $6,267 was raised, which will provide 31,335 meals for Oklahoma families who are struggling to put food on the table this this summer. More than 60 Express Employment Professionals employees also donated 160 hours of service on Saturday, and packed enough food to provide 13,657 meals for Oklahomans struggling with hunger this summer.
“Through the efforts of Express employees and their friends and family, our hope is to stamp out hunger in Oklahoma through the donation of time and money,” said Bob Funk, chief executive officer and chairman of the board for Express Employment Professionals. “Brand It Blue Day falls during an important time of year when many kids go hungry without the promise of meal assistance from their schools. We are very proud to partner with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to make a difference in the state.”
Over the last four years through Brand It Blue Day, Express Employment Professionals has made fighting hunger in Oklahoma a priority. Thanks to their continued support, the organization has donated enough food and funds to provide thousands of meals for Oklahomans who face hunger every day.
‘Brand It Blue’ is a national effort to fight hunger. Across the U.S., more than 225 Express offices partnered with food banks, like the Regional Food Bank, to help fight hunger.
