(OKLAHOMA CITY) – April 3, 2019 - Have mercy! John Stamos will join The Beach Boys, featuring Mike Love and Bruce Johnston, for the legendary band’s May 4 concert at the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Food for Kids Programs and The Oklahoma Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Stamos joins an already star-studded lineup that includes surf rock icon Dean Torrence, of "Jan and Dean." Up for auction during the event will be two original surfboards designed by Torrence, a "Full House" script signed by Stamos and more. All fans attending the show will receive a digital download of Mike Love's new album, “Unleash the Love.”
One in four Oklahoma children do not have consistent access to food. The Regional Food Bank’s Food for Kids Programs provided more than 2.3 million meals to children last year, like 10-year-old McKenna who receives food through the Backpack Program.
"Sometimes we don't have any food in the fridge...I feel happy whenever I see the blue backpack because it helps me have food." McKenna said. "We should make sure that we have the backpacks for other kids."
Tickets for the concert can be purchased online by visiting www.okcciviccenter.com, over the phone at 405-594-8300 or by visiting Civic Center Music Hall, 201 N. Walker Ave. in Oklahoma City.
