Dolese Bros. Co. Continues Commitment to Fight Hunger Faster

(OKLAHOMA CITY) – February 12, 2019 - Dolese Bros. Co. has continued their commitment to helping fight hunger faster by matching donations, up to $30,000, made at the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Volunteer Center throughout 2019.

This is the third year of the Dolese Delivers Match and, thanks to the kindness of volunteers, last year's match was exceeded and more than $42,000 was raised.

"Dolese and our generous volunteers stepped up to meet the match and provide nearly 290,000 meals to our neighbors living with hunger in Oklahoma," said Katie Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. "We are grateful to Dolese for continuing their fight against hunger in Oklahoma."

Donations can be made to Dolese Delivers at the Regional Food Bank's Volunteer Center, 3355 S. Purdue, or at Every $1 donated through the match campaign will help provide eight meals for chronically hungry children, seniors living on limited incomes and hardworking families struggling to make ends meet.

Oklahoma is the sixth hungriest state in the nation. Thanks in part to the generosity of volunteers and Dolese, the Regional Food Bank distributed 50 million pounds of food to central and western Oklahoma last year.

“Dolese and its employees believe in supporting the communities we serve, and that includes helping those in need of food assistance,” said Kermit Frank, Dolese’s director of communications and community relations. "No child or adult should ever have to worry about not having food. The match is a great opportunity for others to join with us in the fight to end hunger in Oklahoma.”

Since 2013, Dolese employees have proven their dedication to the community by serving 908 hours of their time at the Regional Food Bank.
