It’s been a crazy few months for us here at the food bank, and I know the COVID-19 pandemic has affected your life, too.
But I have some great news to share. Right now, you can make an even bigger impact thanks to the Masonic Charity Foundation of Oklahoma, Dolese Bros. Co., David Gorham, David and Lezlie Hudiburg and Mark and Beth Brewer who have teamed up to match all gifts up to a total of $155,000 for our Food for Kids Match Campaign.
As you read through this edition of The Link, I hope you’re encouraged by the incredible difference you make and inspired to continue your support while it can go twice as far. Thank you for all you do!
Chief Development Officer
In times of crisis this community has a way of coming together to help those hit hardest — and the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly been no exception.
Everyday heroes like YOU, our staff and our partners have helped us rise to the occasion.
Every month it’s a struggle for Brittany to make sure there’s enough food for her family. She applied for SNAP benefits to help cover the gap, but she was denied based on her income.
The Regional Food Bank and our partners like Lawton Food Bank rely on our volunteers to meet the needs of local families facing the challenge of getting enough to eat.
Since 2005, Oklahoma City’s Dell Technologies has dedicated time and resources to help get much-needed food to families who need it here in central and western Oklahoma. Over the years their partnership has yielded about 2 million meals for children, seniors and families facing hunger in our community.
