About the Moore Food & Resource Center

A partner of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Moore Food & Resource Center was established in 2013. For every $1 donated, the Regional Food Bank and its partners are able to return four meals to Oklahomans in need of food assistance in Moore, South Oklahoma City and Norman.

A Food & Resource Center is a client-choice pantry that allows clients to select their own food, rather than receiving a pre-packed or standard bag of groceries. Food & Resource Centers provide greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables, are open longer hours, and create an environment in which the client is treated with dignity and respect.

In 2017, the Moore Food & Resource Center distributed the equivalent of more than 1.5 million meals and provided food assistance to 21,139 households. The Moore FRC distributed 1,930 Commodities Supplemental Food Program boxes and served as a Summer Feeding Program site.
