About the Moore Food & Resource Center

A partner of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, the Moore Food & Resource Center was established in 2013. For every $1 donated, the Regional Food Bank and its partners are able to return four meals to Oklahomans in need of food assistance in Moore, South Oklahoma City and Norman.

A Food & Resource Center is a client-choice pantry that allows clients to select their own food, rather than receiving a pre-packed or standard bag of groceries. Food & Resource Centers provide greater access to fresh fruits and vegetables, are open longer hours, and create an environment in which the client is treated with dignity and respect.

In fiscal year 2017, the Moore Food and Resource Center distributed 1,542,945 meals, providing assistance to 21,139 individuals. Moore FRC distributed 1,930 CSFP boxes, 2,383 Food for Kids boxes, hosted a Summer Feeding site and provided 172 hours of social services to our clients on-site through 19 different organizations.
