Jan. 6, 2021 – The Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma raised $16,036 for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma during their annual production of “A Christmas Carol.”

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 performance was held outdoors at the historic Harn Homestead. Harn Homestead was reimagined into a holiday village with patrons walking from scene to scene during the 75-minute production.

“This year, more than any other year, showed the true dedication and generosity of the Lyric Theatre and its patrons,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “Instead of shutting down their production, Lyric Theatre moved outside and raised enough money to provide 64,144 meals for Oklahomans living with hunger.”

The donation marked the 10th consecutive year Lyric Theatre has raised money for the Regional Food Bank during the run of “A Christmas Carol.” Lyric Theatre has raised $194,700 for the Regional Food Bank.
