Summer Feeding Program

For too many Oklahoma children, the end of school means months of wondering whether or not whether they will have enough food to eat.

Through the Summer Feeding Program, children up to the age of 18 years can receive a free, nutritious meal and snack during the summer months when school is not in session. Each summer, Summer Feeding sites open across central and western Oklahoma. All meals and snacks are prepared and packaged by volunteers in Hope’s Kitchen, the Regional Food Bank’s production kitchen.

“It saves tremendously on our food budget. I’ve got three mouths to feed and to keep healthy, so this matters a lot.”

– Megan, mother of three who uses Summer Feeding sites to feed her children.
