Feb. 21, 2022 – The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma will debut its inaugural OKC Restaurant Week on March 1-6, 2022. The event will feature more than 45 locally operated restaurants who are donating a portion of sales to fight hunger in Oklahoma.

“We invite the community to not only dine out for a cause but also support our vibrant restaurant scene,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “Our friends in the restaurant community have such big hearts. Despite the difficulties of the past few years, restaurants are still eager to rise to the challenge of providing meals for Oklahomans who are facing food insecurity.”

OKC Restaurant Week features establishments from across the metro with a wide variety of cuisines ranging from burgers to brunch to fine dining. Each restaurant will vary in how they raise money for the Regional Food Bank with several offering prix fixe menus and others donating proceeds from specialty menu items. Carry out dining is available at most participating restaurants.

A full list of participating restaurants and how they are participating in OKC Restaurant Week can be found at restaurantweekokc.com.

Oklahoma is the fourth hungriest state in the nation. In the past year, the Regional Food Bank distributed enough food to provide more than 47 million meals throughout 53 counties in central and western Oklahoma.

Proceeds from OKC Restaurant Week will help Oklahomans like Diane, a senior living on a fixed income in Moore. She has recently undergone several medical procedures and found herself having trouble keeping her refrigerator full of food. A friend recommended she visit the Regional Food Bank Food & Resource Center, where she now shops each month for nutritious food.

“I don’t know what I would do without the Regional Food Bank FRC,” said Diane. “I couldn’t make it the whole month without the food.”

OKC Restaurant Week is made possible thanks to Love’s Travel Stops, Dell Technologies and other generous sponsors.
