Oops — Our Bad!

You might’ve received a can that’s past its expiration date. Don’t worry, it’s still safe to consume.

We’re sorry about the mix-up!

Did you know that “Best By” dates are more like friendly advice from a chef that says, “hey, this is when food will taste it’s best,” rather than hard deadlines. Most canned goods are still safe, and tasty, well beyond their “Best By” date. Did you know that canned veggies can go 12–18 months? And dry pasta? Up to two years!

At the Regional Food Bank, we always aim to be careful with the food and funds entrusted to us, so thank you for your understanding!

Remember: If it smells off, looks strange or the can is damaged, go ahead and toss it. Safety first!
