Hope’s Kitchen began providing fresh, healthy meals to students participating in Food for Kids programs, like Kid’s Café and Summer Feeding, in the fall of 2015. During the school year, Hope’s Kitchen sends out over 1,000 meals each day, and during summer months that number rises to nearly 6,000 meals per day. All Hope’s Kitchen meals meet USDA childhood nutrition standards, and the majority are prepared by volunteers.
We invite individuals and small groups (no more than 20-30, depending on the season) to help us assemble snacks and meals for Oklahoma children.
If you’d like to become more involved and make an ongoing volunteer commitment as a Pillar Volunteer, Hope’s Kitchen is looking for volunteer kitchen assistants to help with meal preparation and facility cleaning and maintenance. Click here for more information.
