(OKLAHOMA CITY) – Jan. 31, 2017 – Over the past two years, Oklahoma City metro based Okie Express Auto Wash and its customers have donated nearly $95,000 to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma to help the one in six Oklahomans struggling with hunger.
“We believe in giving back to the community where we do business,” said Mike North, chief executive officer of Okie Express Auto Wash. “The thought of anyone going hungry in our state is just unacceptable. We know that 96 cents out of every dollar we donate to the Regional Food Bank will be used to feed those who might not have food otherwise.”
Year round, Okie Express customers have the opportunity to make a $1 donation to the Regional Food Bank when they purchase their car wash. Every dollar donated provides the equivalent of five meals for Oklahomans with inconsistent access to food.
“We are so appreciative of this partnership with Okie Express Auto Wash in the fight against hunger,” said Katie Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. “Thanks to their support, more than 474,700 meals have been provided for seniors, hardworking families and chronically hungry children in central and western Oklahoma.”
Okie Express has metro area locations:
Okie Express is an automatic car wash tunnel and features free vacuums and mat cleaners. Additionally, Okie Express offers a 5-Day Clean Car Guarantee on several wash packages, giving customers a free wash if they scan your receipt within five days of purchase.
