October 4, 2011
OKLAHOMA CITY -Rococo Restaurant and Fine Wine, located at 2824 N. Pennsylvania Ave., will donate 10 percent of all sales on Monday, October 10th to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma.
“We are very happy to help our community,” said Rococo Chef Bruce Rinehart. “Our customers can have a crab cake and a happy hour drink while fighting hunger; if that’s not appetizing, I don’t know what is!”
Rococo opened its doors in 2004 and features delicious food from Chef Bruce Rinehart. Rococo delivers a very diverse menu with Italian, French and Asian influences. The eatery has more than 25 different appetizers to choose from, including their famous cookies, and is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
600,000 Oklahomans are at risk of going to bed hungry tonight. Even though the Regional Food Bank provides enough food to feed more than 90,000 people each week, more and more Oklahomans are turning to the organization and its partner agencies for assistance.
“The majority of those served by the nonprofit are children, seniors living on fixed incomes, and working families who cannot make ends meet. “We are turning to the community, and businesses like Rococo, for donations to help us fight hunger in Oklahoma. Every dollar counts, especially when the Food Bank can provide five meals for every dollar donated.”
Most of those served by the Regional Food bank are seniors, families, and children.
“A mother of six was thrust into being a single mother when her husband died,” said one partner agency. “She was told about our agency and was so excited to know that she could get food from us. She was happy to be able to get some food to be able to provide a complete meal for her children during a difficult time in her life.”
