Urban Harvest works diligently to encourage the establishment of sustainable community gardens in the Oklahoma City area. We assist in the development, establishment and ongoing sustaining of gardens of various sizes and focus.
Information and educational assistance concerning gardening
Granting research and request assistance
Seeds and plants that are donated, purchased or grown by Urban Harvest
Tools and equipment when available
Compost, manure, straw and other materials when available
Donating salvaged structures like greenhouses when available
Tilling and plowing by the Urban Harvest tractor and other power equipment
Hauling equipment and material with the Urban Harvest pick up and dump trailer
Volunteers and coordinating between gardens for gardens needing assistance
Hosting Community garden meetings at the Food Bank facility
