Volunteer with Urban Harvest
Individuals
Individual volunteers are integral to the success of our program. We are always thrilled to see new faces among our exceptional group of regulars.
Open volunteering hours at Urban Harvest are: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am-noonNo appointment is necessary. Cotton gloves, tools and bottled water are provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring hats, sunglasses and sunscreen. Please be sure to wear closed toed shoes and work clothes as well.
Groups
Group volunteers help our program to accomplish huge amounts of work that would otherwise take days or even weeks to complete. We happily welcome youth groups, homeschoolers, corporate groups, student bodies, church groups, gardening clubs, environmental groups and all other clubs and organizations to book a volunteering date with our program.
Work Days
Urban Harvest schedules one Farmhand Day each month. These work days generally take place on a Saturday from 8am-noon. Individuals and groups are welcome to drop in! If you’d like to be notified of the Farmhand Day each month, send an email with “Mailing List” in the subject line to jhudson@regionalfoodbank.org.
