Group Volunteers

Do you ever wonder where that can you donated went? Come to the Regional Food Bank to find out! Volunteers are needed to help sort and box donations and Food for Kids backpack that will be sent to over 825 charitable feeding programs in Oklahoma.

The work we have available for volunteers depends on the donations we receive. We cannot guarantee that groups will work on a certain task or Food Bank program. Volunteer duties might include:

  • Bagging and boxing food products
  • Boxing bread
  • Filling bags for programs like Food for Kids and Senior Feeding
  • Sorting, weighing, and boxing salvage
  • Stuffing acknowledgements and bulk mailings
  • Tagging bags
  • Cleaning

Volunteer with a Group by Appointment

  • Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. until noon and 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
  • Thursday evening Rock 'n Box events, 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Become a Volunteer

If you are volunteering in a group of five or more people, you must make an appointment with Denice Hurlbut at volunteer@regionalfoodbank.org or 405-600-3160. Once you've made an appointment, confirmation will be sent to verify the appointment.
