Hold a Fund and Food Drive
Donations collected from fund and food drives help stock food pantries and soup kitchens in central and western Oklahoma. In Fiscal Year 2009, over 250 businesses held fund and food drives to benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. As a result, over 250,000 pounds of food and $6,000 dollars was donated, which provided 685,000 meals to hungry Oklahomans.

The Regional Food Bank can supply you with:
- Food Collection Boxes (each holds 100 cans)
- Plastic bags (hold 10 cans each)
- Posters to promote your drive
- Regional Food Bank speaker to present information about hunger in Oklahoma
- Press Release template
Promote your food drive.
- Add food drive information to web sites, newsletters, posters, intranet, and internal employee e-mails
- Promotional materials: sample posters, promotional copy, media advisories, press releases
Drop off donations
- Bring your donations to the Regional Food Bank's front desk, located at 3355 S. Purdue in Oklahoma City, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Please print and complete this donation form and bring it with you when you drop off your donation.
- You will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
Schedule a pick up for donations
The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma can pick food donations that weigh more than 400 pounds (or 4 boxes full of donations).
- Pickups are made on Tuesdays and Thursdays before 2 p.m.
- Please make sure all donations are in one location
- Please schedule the pickup at least 48 hours in advance of desired pick up date
Contact Angie at 405-604-7109 or againes@regionalfoodbank.org to schedule a pickup. Please be prepared to provide:
- The name of your company
- Amount of product to be picked up
- Date the product needs to be picked up
- Specific address and location to pick up the product
- Name and phone number of the person to contact about the donation
- Complete address where the donation receipt is to be mailed
What To Donate
The Regional Food Bank needs your help to fight hunger in Oklahoma. We accept anything that can be purchased at a store, including:
- Canned goods
- Packaged goods
- Personal hygiene items
- Cleaning supplies
- Paper goods
What foods should I collect?
- Healthy, non-perishable food
- Items with intact, un-opened, consumer or commercial packaging
- Items with non-breakable packaging (no glass please)
- Food within the expiration date on the packaging
Most needed items include cans/jars of non-perishable:
- Canned meat
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Canned tuna
- Peanut butter
- Rice
- Beans
