Regional Food Bank To Receive Truckload of Food From Dot Foods

Dot Foods will be delivering a truckload of food to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in honor of the food redistributor’s 50th anniversary. This will be the fourth stop for Dot Foods’ 50th anniversary golden trailer as it travels to 11 food banks across the country to deliver 270,000 pounds of food. |

| WHY | Dot Foods Inc. is celebrating its 50th year in business by donating 270,000 pounds of food to 11 Feeding America food banks near each of Dot’s eight distribution centers. The donations will be delivered by a special golden anniversary trailer. Equivalent to $315,000, the food donation will include items such as canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, tuna, beans, rice and cereal. |

The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is a private, 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that acts as a link through which the food industry and community may donate food and other goods. The products are then distributed to nearly 700 schools and charitable feeding programs in 53 central and western Oklahoma counties. In the last fiscal year, the Food Bank distributed 36.5 million pounds of food and product to help the charitable community effectively feed people in need. Since its inception in 1980, the Regional Food Bank has distributed more than 352 million pounds of food to feed Oklahoma’s hungry.
