Hunger Action Month
Hunger Action Month is in September. Through Feeding America, the Regional Food Bank is joining more than 200 food banks across the nation to encourage the public to take action against hunger. Whether it's volunteering at a local pantry or donating to the Regional Food bank, there is something that every Oklahoman can do to make a positive impact on their community and fight hunger. From visiting News 9's booth at the Oklahoma State fair to participating in Arvest Bank's Million Meals Campaign, there are a lot of ways to help! News 9 Concept Homes
Through the News 9 Concept Homes, two builders are once again coming together to showcase two new concepts in luxury living while helping fight childhood hunger in Oklahoma. While providing new ideas and concepts for building and home decor, the tour will also raise awareness and monetary donations to fight childhood hunger in Oklahoma through the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Food for Kids programs. The community is invited to tour these homes September 12 through September 21, Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 at Bob Mills Furniture. Students Against Hunger Food Drive
Nearly 200 schools in centeral and western Oklahoma will band together to fight hunger in Oklahoms through the Students Against Hunger Food Drive, September 29 through November 7. 


Stan's Ride

Stan's Ride - September 7
One in four children in Oklahoma struggles with hunger every day. No child should ever go hungry - that's why News 9 and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma have teamed up to host the fourth annual Oklahoma's Own Ride Against Childhood Hunger, on September 7, 2014. 

It's kickstands up with News 9's Stan Miller for a scenic 100-mile motorcycle ride through central Oklahoma. Enjoy the open road and countryside with us as we roll down Route 66 for a pit stop at Pop's Restaurant and ride through downtown Guthrie before reaching the final destination, Lucille's Restaurant in Mullhall. The Hot Mama's Run & Baby Parade is designed to foster a spirit of heath, happiness, confidence and empowerment for women and their families. Funds raised from the Hot Mama's Run & Baby Parade benefit the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma and the CARE Center.

Gravity Payments Gives
Gravity Payments provides Oklahoma community businesses the ability to accept credit card payments. For every new customer through October 31, 2014, Gravity will donate $100 to the Regional Food Bank. Additionally, for every referral an existing customer provides, Gravity will donate an extra $50. Their goal is to raise more than $5,000, providing more than 25,000 meals to feed hungry Oklahomans. Click here to learn more

Panera Bread locations in the OKC metro area raise funds for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma's Food for Kids Backpack Program on the second Friday of every month.
